The Environmental Protection Agency OF Liberia (EPA) with support from GIZ on Thursday, March 17, 2022 commence a three-day training of environmental technicians and inspectors on Environmental Monitoring and Control within the mining sector.EPA Executive Director, Prof. Wilson K. Tarpeh in special remark, welcomed and appreciated the support from GIZ and acknowledged that the training is in alignment with the EPA five years’ strategic plan which commenced in 2022.The training is expected to cover both theoretical and practical segments at a Class A and Class B gold mine.It’s also anticipated that the acknowledge acquired will be extended to tackling challenges faced within the artisanal small scale mining sector.
