The External Trade Section of LISGIS is charged with the responsibility to collect, compile, process, analyze
and disseminate External Trade Statistics in deriving the balance of Trade (BOT) figures from data received
from Exports (FOB) and Imports (CIF) Values for the country.
The balance of Trade (BOT) of any country determines the status of the economy in terms of deficit or
surplus. The balance of Trade (BOT) statistics is also fueled in the Calculation of GDP estimates.
