I Love Kit Trumpeter 63546 1/35 XM2001 Crusader Self-Propelled Howitzer Tank

- The XM2001 Crusader was developed as a successor to the M109 155mm self-propelled howitzer after the start of production of the M109A6, and a prototype vehicle was completed in 2000.
- It was then lightened so that it could be transported by the C-17 transport aircraft.
- This vehicle is equipped with Vetronics, an electronic system built in to make the vehicle's combat operations more efficient, and the unmanned turret adopts an automatic loading system, and has a range of up to 40km and extended range ammunition. When used, the maximum range is said to reach 100 km.
- The fire control system is highly electronic and has MRSI (multiple shell impact) capabilities.
- However, the development/deployment costs were too high, and the project was canceled as it was deemed unsuitable for post-Cold War asymmetric warfare.
