This Custom Shop Factory Exclusive 000-18 starts out with its principle tonewood – black walnut. A domestically-sourced wood, this selection of black walnut forms the basis for this guitar's 000-14Fret body. The comfort of this Custom Shop's 000-14Fret body is enhanced by the rich resonance of the black walnut for a bold tonal profile. The black walnut back and sides are accompanied by a spruce top lined with scalloped standard spruce braces for a balanced and bold projection. Altogether creating a classic Martin voice, this body is lined with European flamed maple bindings that result in an impressive visual sum.

This Custom Shop experience continues on with a 12/4 genuine mahogany neck shaped in a Modified Low Oval profile with a High Performance neck taper. Designed for playability and a more prominent height and shoulder, this neck offers a firm and full grip in hand. Black ebony joins in for this Custom Shop's fingerboard for easy playability across the fingers. Old Style 18 fret inlays appear across this ebony for a classic visual motif.
