About Worthy Park Single Estate Reserve Jamaica Rum

Despite a history that extends back as far as 1670, Worthy Park Single Estate Reserve Jamaica Rum maintains a fresh approach to spirit making that is as vibrant and unique as their storied past. It is a rum product renowned for its meticulous production process, where modern innovation meets undeniable tradition.

This exquisite and authentic Jamaican rum is crafted on the same estate where the Worthy Park sugar cane is grown and harvested, presenting an unprecedented level of quality control and attention to detail. By ensuring the journey from sugar cane to rum all occurs on the same estate, Worthy Park Single Estate Reserve is able to capture a distinct purity and depth of flavor.

What makes it truly remarkable is its all-natural production — devoid of additives or colourings — to offer an unadulterated experience of premium, Jamaican rum. Tasting Notes

The bouquet of this rum introduces itself with an elegant combination of pungent molasses, ripened banana and subtle spice. On the palate, it offers a refined molasses sweetness paired with the distinct taste of banana that then transitions to notes of rich oak and coffee, providing a complex yet balanced mouthfeel. The aftertaste leaves a lingering sweetness, coupled with a hint of spice that is both warming and delightful - truly a rum to sip and savor.

Suggested Serves

  • Rum Old Fashioned: The complexity and deep flavor profile of Worthy Park Single Estate Reserve beautifully enhances this classic cocktail. The rum’s inherent sweetness and the subtle hint of spice work wonderfully with the bitters and sugar.
  • Mai Tai: The smooth and refined character of this rum supports and amplifies the tropical blend of flavors in a Mai Tai, adding depth to the palate and ensuring the rum's presence is distinctly felt.
  • Planter's Punch: Due to its flavorful nature which includes elements of sweet molasses and banana notes, Worthy Park Single Estate Reserve brings an authentic tropical flair to this traditional Caribbean drink, making it a popular choice for this serve.

Production Notes

Worthy Park Single Estate Reserve Rum is pot still distilled, a technique that timelessly delivers the intense, full-bodied flavor that distinguishes this rum. After distillation, the rum is aged in once used Bourbon barrels to refine and harmonize the flavors, resulting in a refined, sippable spirit. With a commitment to sustainable practices, the distillery also operates a state-of-the-art effluent treatment system for waste products resulting from rum production. By capturing the heart of Jamaica in every bottle, Worthy Park Single Estate Reserve Jamaica Rum truly captures rum at its most authentic and timeless.

In law there is always another way
Format: Kindle
I finished this book having completed all but one course for my law degree. It is a goldmine of techniques and outlines the modus operandi of how Judges and Lawyers ideally operate.

Needs to be more concise to weed out extraneous crap in your arguments
Format: Paperback
It’s very wordy and could be a lot more concise and be even more effective. “Getting to maybe” is not an exercise in dissertations but finding the right points to create an effective argument. There are better resources out there.

This book made me angry
Format: Paperback
I was excited about this book. Many law-related blogs and forums highly recommended this book. It's a "must read" for law students, they said. I was angry when I read the introduction. I was angrier when I began reading the chapters. What happened to brevity? Law students are already swamped with course readings. Why write a book intended to be read by law students in such a long and voluminous way? Much of the text can be removed. "Get to the point," I found myself telling the author as I read page after page. I hated it. It is the rare law student who will pick up this book for its narrative value. The typical law student will pick this book for its value on navigating through law school exams, not for its story-telling. Yet that student will be left disappointed. I wish the author would have considered writing a "Get to the Point" book, which would serve as a shorter version of 'Getting to Maybe.' Perhaps it is not too late. "Get to the Point" could serve as an alternative or accompanying version, maybe? I ask that the author considers this.
