Order Of The Black finds Black Label Society firing on all cylinders, delivering a towering blend of crushing riffs, soaring melodies, and the unmistakable guitar heroics of Zakk Wylde.

Released in 2010, the album marked one of the strongest entries in the band's catalog, debuting at the top of multiple rock charts and showcasing a more expansive songwriting approach without sacrificing any of its trademark heaviness. Pressed here on striking double 140g Black Ice vinyl, this 2LP edition gives the record a presentation as bold and powerful as the music within.

From the galloping charge of Crazy Horse to the epic weight of Overlord, Wylde balances muscular metal with surprising emotional depth. Parade Of The Dead and Black Sunday bring thunderous grooves and massive hooks, while Godspeed Hell Bound and War Of Heaven showcase the band's ability to blend Southern rock swagger with modern heavy metal intensity. Throughout, Wylde's vocals and guitar work remain front and center, equal parts grit, melody, and pure six-string firepower.

What sets Order Of The Black apart is its dynamic range. Beneath the distortion and aggression lies a strong melodic core, with reflective moments like Time Waits For No One and January adding depth to the album's relentless energy. The result is a record that feels both hard-hitting and deeply personal.

For longtime followers and newcomers alike, this Black Ice pressing captures Black Label Society at a creative peak - heavy, heartfelt, and unapologetically loud. A modern metal statement built to shake walls and reward repeat spins.

Childhood fans of Michelinie Iron Man and Mantlo Hulk are creating this
Format: Kindle
So. It's adult, real-world based, and suspenseful. As a child I could afford only to buy a few comics a month with the little.money I earned. Mantlo Hulk and Michelinie/Layton Iron Man were two of the five or six comics I bought. So glad I took a chance on checking this out. Looks like I will be reading a current series this year. A lot happens in just this one issue, both mental sparring and physical bang-ups. Nice blend of food for thought and eye candy. I'm excited for the rest of the series.

Takin’ Care Of Business!
Format: Kindle
While I thoroughly enjoyed the previous run of Iron Man, a comic I stay at least in the know as best as I can, I have a feeling that this is going to be even better.

Getting There
Format: Kindle
The let’s take Stark’s company plot is getting old, but at least this time they’re showing that Tony Stark ‘s major asset is his intellect. Still leaning too much into the Stark is an alcoholic canon, which even the writers of that arc admit was a mistake that they hadn’t thought out fully; a mistake that sucked the fun out of Invincible Iron Man for decades until Robert Downey Jr portrayed the character on the big screen, and writers on the comic started to write Stark to resemble the character as originally written. I do not like the art design on Tony Stark on this run at all. The feeble Howard Hughes look doesn’t fit Tony Stark at all, but if the story gets better, I can live with it. The art will change with the next team anyway. Ackerman seems to at least like Tony Stark and he seems to understand him; two things that were definitely not the case with Cantwell. Issue one didn’t put me off, and I’m invested enough to continue and see where it goes. At this stage with many Marvel titles that’s saying a lot.

Good, angry, start
Format: Kindle
After working at a manufacturing plant, I definitely appreciated Stark looking out for his workers. I will say the hostile takeover storyline feels a little over done for Iron man. Hope there are twists to come.
