Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers

This capacitor serves as a universal replacement for any start capacitor with the same capacitance range and voltage rating. It can replace parts from brands such as Aerovox, Packard, Mars, GE, and others, provided the specifications match.

  • Capacitance must be within the 189-227 uF range.
  • Voltage must be at least 220-250 VAC. A higher voltage rating is acceptable, but a lower rating is not.
  • Physical dimensions should be checked for proper fit.

Compatibility & Fitment

Designed for intermittent duty in the start circuit of single-phase AC electric motors. Common applications include:

  • HVAC units (compressors and fan motors)
  • Pool and spa pumps
  • Well pumps
  • Air compressors
  • Refrigeration units
  • Gate openers
  • Other motor-driven machinery

When to Replace

A failing start capacitor can cause motor issues. Consider replacement if you observe the following symptoms:

  • Motor hums but does not start or turn over.
  • Motor starts slowly or struggles to reach full operating speed.
  • Circuit breaker trips repeatedly when the motor tries to start.
  • The existing capacitor shows physical damage, such as bulging, cracking, or leaking fluid.

Installation Tips

  • Safety First:Disconnect all electrical power to the equipment before beginning installation.
  • Discharge Old Capacitor:Before handling, safely discharge the old capacitor by shorting its terminals with an insulated-handle screwdriver or a resistor.
  • Verify Specifications:Confirm the uF rating and VAC rating of the new capacitor match the requirements of the original part.
  • Check Connections:Note the wiring configuration before disconnecting the old unit. Connect the new capacitor in the same manner.
  • Secure Mounting:Ensure the capacitor is mounted securely in its bracket to prevent damage from vibration.

My dogs favorite toy so far in two years
Color: C) 4" 2-Pack (Bacon)
I use this with my medium sized dog. These are large for him but that's what I want so I don't ever have to think about them being too small or a swallow hazard. He has been through A LOT OF TOYS in the last couple years, but nothing, NOTHING has he loved as much as these. His favorite used to be squeaker balls. Then his favorite was crackle balls. But he will gladly ignore both for this one. I don't know if it's the bacon flavor or what, but he go nuts for it.

Works well, tough
Held the bully stick firmly for my crazy aggressive pit bull lab mix. It's very heavy though. When she starts throwing it around you can really hear it. She also hasn't destroyed it. Worth the money.

It absolutely holds a bully or collagen sticks in place!
This actually works! I was skeptical that it could hold a treat but it does hold my Aussies collagen sticks in place so he doesn’t just try to swallow them. It is pretty heavy too.

Solid Build, But Not German Shepherd-Proof
I bought this bully stick holder for my German Shepherd, who is an aggressive chewer and has a talent for demolishing toys in minutes. The design is sturdy, and the material feels genuinely heavy-duty — no issues with cracks or breakage so far. However, the biggest problem I’ve run into is that the bully stick doesn’t always stay securely in place. My dog is strong and smart, and within a few minutes, he can twist or yank the stick loose and start chomping on the whole thing, which defeats the safety purpose. I’ve tried adjusting how I insert the stick, but it doesn’t always hold firm, especially with thinner bully sticks. That said, it does work better with thicker, straight sticks, so I’d recommend it if your pup isn’t quite as determined (or stubborn!) as mine. I still use it under supervision, and it slows him down a bit, but I was hoping for a more secure grip. Great idea and solid quality — just wish it was more GSD-proof.
