RÉSUMÉ: États-Unis, Michigan. Trois amis de longue date, Ken, Greg et Art, vétérans du Viêt-nam profondément marqués par la guerre, partent à la campagne pour chasser le gibier. Vulgaires et racistes, ils sont aussi, bien que mariés, des dragueurs invétérés. Lors d’une halte dans une station-service, ils repèrent Nancy et son amant, Martin. Lorsque ces derniers reprennent la route, le trio décide de les suivre avant de les neutraliser pour les conduire dans leur repaire, un chalet isolé dans la forêt. Débute alors pour Nancy et Martin un véritable cauchemar.
À PROPOS DU FILM: LA CHASSE SANGLANTE, sorti en 1974, fut classé X deux ans plus tard pour incitation à la violence. En France, il sortit confidentiellement en 1982, uniquement en province. Réalisée par Peter Collinson (LA NUIT DES ALLIGATORS), cette œuvre sulfureuse bénéficie d’un casting 4 étoiles : Peter Fonda (EASY RIDER), Cornelia Sharpe (SERPICO), John Philip Law (DANGER : DIABOLIK!), Richard Lynch (AMAZONIA : LA JUNGLE BLANCHE), Alberto de Mendoza (LA QUEUE DU SCORPION) et William Holden (LA HORDE SAUVAGE). Inédit en France depuis sa sortie VHS en 1984, LA CHASSE SANGLANTE vous est enfin proposé dans une version restaurée, en haute définition.

Excellent book

My grandson is seven and he does not like to read but with these books he is eager to read and find out what is happening in the next chapter. These books are more on the comic book format and they are really fun to read. I like them almost as much as my grandson.

2nd grade son's favorite book of all time!
Format: Paperback
So this is not classic children's literature with beautifully written passages a la The Velveteen Rabbit. This IS, however, the only book my 7 year old son has read repeatedly (6 times?) and BEGGED me to buy so that we would have our own copy when it was time to return it to the library. Santa brought him 3 gifts this year- a Cozmo robot, a drone, and this book- they were all displayed together. Guess which one elicited the first scream? "Sparks!!! Santa brought me Sparks!!!" This comic book is not Shakespeare for children but the story is creative and FUNNY, the illustrations are great, and boy does it keep my kids' attention (my 4th grade daughter also loves it, though not to the obsessive extent of my boy). Get it- your child will love it. This is not a book for YOU to read aloud- this is for the child to read on his/her own. So when The Wind in the Willows has them yawning, hand them this instead.

My son loved these books!
Format: Paperback
We found this book at the library. I was struggling to have my 7 year old read a book he was interested in. He started reading this and couldn't put it down. We bought the other two and he flew through reading them. He laughed and said it was such a good book that I need to read it. We have a pet cat named August so that was what peaked his interest and he loved that!
