Beautiful sets of origami paper made from HAIBARA's special artisan-made chiyogami - Japanese traditional paper with patterns and designs. This is the new addition in the yellow-gold-beige shades. The chiyogami patterns are all from HAIBARA's original designs created by leading artists of the time specially for HAIBARA during the Meiji (1868-1912) and Taisho (1912-1925) periods.
Artisans carefully dye each colour by hand to ensure that the colours do not shift. Applying many dyes on the paper allows for deep colors that modern machine printing cannot produce. The gorgeous chiyogami are filled with the artisans’ skills and spirit.
The quality of the Chiyogami Origami paper are exceptional and they will add extra joy in your daily craft making.
Each paper measures 15 x 15cm (5.90"), and each set includes 10 sheets of chiyogami origami paper with 5 designs (2 sheets of each design).

ABOUT THE MAKER
Established in the Edo period in 1806 in Nihonbashi of Tokyo, Haibara has been dealing with washi, Japanese traditional handmade papers, and extensive line of paper products. Since most of Haibara’s products are handmade, the comprehensive craftsmanship of woodblock printing, carving, paper making, and paper decorating is very much valued and it has been succeeded to today’s Haibara products over the years.
