Maton Guitars Natural Series M225 Dreadnought Pre-Owned - 16278

Like the Maton SRS-60C Solid Road Series, the Maton M225 Dreadnought was built as an entry level model that is easy on your wallet. What is lacks in appointments it makes up for with excellent string balance and powerful projection.

This gently used Pre-owned Maton M225 was built in 2011 and is well suited in a recording session. When you need clarity with a flat EQ, the M225 offers a dry and natural woody tonal character.

With little wear to speak of, this guitar was well on its way to becoming a closet queen. Comes with the original Maton hard shell case and Maton guitar strap.

There are minor pick marks on the plastic pick guard (unable to photograph), and there is a small wood chip in the bridge - only visible with the bridge pin removed (see photo). There is a small nick on the headstock and the back of the neck (see photos).

Originally used as a Mahogany "substitute", Queensland Maple has become the backbone of the Maton sound. It is used in nearly every Maton either as a neck, back & sides, or internal component.

A rain forest hardwood from Northern Queensland, this timber is light, strong, and visually striking. Queensland Maple is extremely well balanced with an even response across all frequencies. If you are looking for the secret to Maton's great tone, this is a good place to start. Combined with the Sitka Spruce top you have a powerful yet balanced full sized dreadnought.

A forward shifting of the X braces and the shifting of scallop peaks to nodal points around the soundboard help to enhance the vibration of the top. The shifting of the X braces also allows the inclusion of a second, parallel tone bar which allows the scalloping of both tone bars, and spreads the load while reducing mass.

Adjusted bracing heights as well as a locked15 foot radius for the arch of the back, gave Maton the plate resonance separation they look for between top and back.

Expensive, refined, and exactly what it should be
This is one of those products where there isn’t much to overthink it. The Apple Pencil Pro does exactly what it’s supposed to do, does it consistently, and integrates seamlessly with the iPad. It’s not cheap, and it doesn’t try to be revolutionary — it’s just very well executed. Performance and usability Responsiveness is excellent. There’s no noticeable latency, pairing is instant, and charging via the magnetic attachment is still one of the cleanest implementations Apple has ever done. You never think about battery life or connection issues — it just works. The new squeeze gesture is genuinely useful and makes switching tools faster without breaking flow. The tilt support is well implemented and will be especially appreciated by artists, even if it’s not something every user relies on heavily. Feel and design The build quality is exactly what you’d expect. It feels solid, balanced, and premium. That said, the writing feel is still very smooth-on-smooth, which isn’t particularly pencil-like. Screen protectors help with that, but out of the box it’s not a perfect analog feel. Color options are still nonexistent, which is a bummer but that’s always been the case. Compatibility and pricing Requiring the Pro model for newer iPads is frustrating, but not surprising. It’s clearly part of Apple’s broader product segmentation strategy. While that won’t sit well with everyone, the Pencil Pro itself delivers enough refinement that it doesn’t feel like a compromised purchase. Minor quirks On rare occasions, if the iPad hasn’t been used in a while, the Pencil may not immediately reconnect. Placing it back on the magnetic charger instantly resolves this, so it’s more of a momentary hiccup than a real issue. Final thoughts There’s nothing here that feels half-baked. You can nitpick price, texture, or ecosystem decisions, but in actual daily use, none of those detract meaningfully from the experience. The Apple Pencil Pro is reliable, polished, and purpose-built — which is exactly what most people want from it. Five stars - Expensive, but extremely refined. If you’re in the iPad ecosystem, this is the best stylus experience available

Great Apple Pencil
This Apple Pencil is great! I bought it to work with my new iPad Air 11” M4. It is perfectly compatible and connected without any difficulty. I love that it attaches magnetically to my iPad to charge and there’s no separate charger. It also pairs much more easily with my iPad than my previous Apple Pencil Pro. The material is smooth but not slippery, and comfortable to hold. The tips are durable and last a long time. The pencil is accurate and glides smoothly over the iPad screen, making it a pleasure to use, especially for drawing or painting. It is a good value for the money. I’m very pleased with this purchase and would definitely buy it again.

Saved a few bucks for top quality!
I’m not a visual artist by any stretch, but I also hate not having every option at my disposal, so I bought this item used on here. The best $70 bucks I’ve ever saved. It didn’t come in an Apple box but it came in an Amazon box that was the size of an Apple box and it was padded and secure. The quality was as new as it would be coming from the Apple Store. It’s a pretty good device. It works well. I enjoy using it to make slight adjustments in my attempts to draw things and I do enjoy writing with it. Great weight and the haptics are on point when you use the options like squeezing it to change tools. It fits nicely on the top of the iPad with the magnet. Battery life has yet to drop below 95 even when I had it off the pad for a few days. I’m very happy with my purchase and I love the fact that I saved a few bucks by purchasing used.

Excellent Apple Pencil but make sure it works with the iPad you currently own!
I love the new pencil! The haptics in it are great! I originally had the 2nd gen pencil and needed a new one so I bought this one. When I got it, it wouldn’t sync to my iPad Pro 11 (4th gen) though. Apparently I didn’t read completely that it wouldn’t. However, because of this, my husband bought me the new iPad Pro (M5 chip) and the pencil works great with it! It syncs easily with the iPad and is easy to use.
