APR Carbon Fiber Intercooler Ducts for the Porsche 992 3.0T dramatically lower intake air temperature (IAT) by increasing air flow through the ambient air path of the intercooler cores. In doing so the engine makes more power and sustains power levels for longer as IAT is kept away from the knock threshold of the engine and IAT based power reduction safety routines of the factory ECU. Multiple back-to-back wide-open-throttle acceleration tests proved our intercooler ducts reduced IAT as much as 9.6°C (17.3°F) or 15% better than stock!
The APR Intercooler ducts are made from carbon fiber allowing the cooling ducts to be formed to the exact shape necessary to fit into the tight engine bay within the 992's rear end. The vents allow for maximum flow through the system, while continuing to connect the system to the rest of the factory ducting. Everything simply slides into place with no extra hardware required. A gorgeous matte finish with a gloss APR logo adorns the system, giving it a motorsport inspired feel, which is unfortunately tucked out of view with the rear bumper installed.
Testing:
The 911 must be tested on the street, rather than a dyno, to capture real world cooling data. This is especially true because of the rear engine design. In real world driving, air is forced through the cooling ducts differently than it is on a stationary dyno, even with excellent cooling fans.
During development APR Engineers fully instrumented the engine to find the limitations of the factory hardware. It was quickly determined the factory intercoolers struggled with airflow through the ambient cooling paths. By redesigning the cooling ducts, more high pressure ambient air could be forced through the system to maximize effectiveness of the coolers.
To illustrate their importance, wide open throttle acceleration tests were conducted for roughly 11 seconds, both with stock cooling ducts and APR cooling ducts. IAT was measured post intercooler with high quality thermocouples. Ten back-to-back tests were conducted with each setup, and the results were averaged together. With the stock ducts in place, IAT rose to 66.2°C (151.2°F). This is above the factory knock threshold of 60°C (140°F) and is approaching the ECU power reduction limiter at 70°C (158°F). Once this IAT threshold is crossed, the ECU will begin aggressively reducing engine power to protect the engine. By simply swapping to the APR intercooler ducts, IAT dropped 15%, or 9.6°C (17.3°F), leveling off at 56.6°C (133.9°F). This is below the knock threshold and safely away from the power reduction threshold!

BUY THIS ONE!

This is one of the good ones. There are other brands just as good, and manny brands are worse, but this handles well, rolls down easily, doesn't come off at all easily, and adapts to dips and curves like a champ.
Appropriately heavy and dead, I'm happy with the way it smothers panel resonances and even at muffling direct sound, like a big hand over my Uncle Harry's eternally noisy mouth. You can rip the foil but you have to work hard at doing that.
Remember to buy a brayer; you can roll overlaps nice and thin. Also remember to pre-wipe the sheet metal with a decent solvent like acetone or Stoddard/Varsol. It should last forever.

Good stuff, but watch the temp

I used this in my single cab pickup truck (89 ford.) It only took half the box (10 sheets or 25 square feet) to do the floors, but I bought the big box because I plan to do the doors, back wall, and maybe the roof as well. One thing I learned is that the temperature matters when you’re doing the installation. It was around 55F when I started in the evening, and when it dipped down into the 40s the sheets would not stick to the metal, and were hard to compress with the roller. That’s why I ended up only doing the floors and not any vertical surfaces; i will have to wait for a nice hot day. The other thing is that the foil layer on top is razor sharp at the edges, definitely wear gloves! I didn’t notice until after but I have little papercuts all over my fingers. Aside from those things, the install was easy and straightforward. The sheets cut easily with scissors, and any goo that ends up on your hands or scissors can be cleaned up with acetone (nail polish remover), or lacquer thinner. I would use this stuff again.

Supports DP Alt + Power Delivery from one source
This is one of the very, very few USB-C hubs out there that successfully pushes DisplayPort Alt and 100w PD functionality from one source cable to one device. My monitor has a USB-C DP alt port that also pushes 95w PD and this hub successfully pushes both of those to my laptop, phone, and android handheld console. The marketing material says something about USB PD cannot work with DP alt, but it seems to be working fine for me so who knows. With this little hub in-between the link from the monitor to the device, I can now add a USB ethernet adapter and game controller, and I only ever have to plug one USB-C cable into my device (and I am using a USB4 extension cable with no issues as well) and it all works perfectly!

Supports Reverse Charging a Laptop on Monitors with USB-C PD!
This adapter is unique in that it supports reverse charging + video on the same port. I use this with an LG monitor (60W PD) and an M1 Pro Mac.
At first, I had connectivity issues: hub was disconnecting and reconnecting every few seconds. I followed advice to update the firmware on the hub, but that didn't solve the issue. Turns out, my monitor also needed a firmware update. Once I updated the monitor firmware, it stabilized and has been working great ever since.
