The hardened steel will keep the cutting edge sharper longer and will last longer when used in sandy soil conditions. This blade is sharp on all 4 sides. Once you notice your blades are beginning to dull, simply flip the blades over and keep mowing with a fresh cutting edge!
3 blades are required for 52" decks. This blade also fits 36" mowers, 2 blades are required for 36" decks.
