The foundation of this instrument is a curved laminated maple top complemented by laminated maple back and sides, together producing a well-rounded and sonorous tone. This structure is fortified by a center block bracing made of spruce, a brilliant inclusion that amplifies resonance while minimizing feedback— an excellent option for high-gain situations.
The slender "U"-shaped neck is equipped with a 12" radius laurel fingerboard that features 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid "Neo-Classic Thumbnail" inlays, adding a touch of characteristic Gretsch flair. Precise tuning is a breeze, thanks to the gold die-cast tuners and Graph Tech NuBone nut.
