KASUGAI MASAYOSHI AKA MASAYOSHI KASUGAI (b.1921) was a master papermaker and artist who lived in the paper-making village of Obara in Aichi prefecture, Japan. In 1945, the artist Fuji Tatsukichi developed a process for making pictures through the use of various textured and colored paper materials, and this has become known as ‘Obara Washi Art’. Mr. Kasugai in particular perfected special techniques for creating trees and landscapes by laying unmacerated strips of Kozo inner bark into a pulp background.

Works Very Well

I am new to sublimation printing, and purchased this based on recommendations from multiple websites. I'm so glad I did! It transfers well onto several mediums, including shirts, totes, mousepads and cups. I've never had any jams or misfeeds, and the quality of the paper is high. I'll definitely purchase again!

Print quality is excellent!

This is my first sublimation printer and I am so happy with my purchase! The print quality is absolutely amazing! I have made a few items and they came out perfectly!
The design software and printing software that come with the printer are good but they are really slow.
Before you buy, think carefully about what size prints you want to make. This printer only prints up to 8.5x14. Some t-shirt designs are larger than that. The ink is also very expensive. Versiflex ink is much cheaper. It might be worth researching the versiflex model before you commit to this printer.

Wife has been using converted eco-tank printers for a few years with many struggles. The print quality and final result with the Sawgrass prints is a far higher quality and better result!
