The Gibson Theodore Standard embodies a 1957 design from the mind of iconic figure Ted McCarty, former president of Gibson, this instrument pays respect to his legendary tenure from 1950 to 1966, during which he birthed classics like the Les Paul, SG, ES-335, and Flying V. Developed from designs uncovered in the Gibson archive, the Theodore standard is a unique recreation of the original design, available in Antique Natural and Cherry.

The Theodore Standard features a uniquely shaped two-piece mahogany body with Florentine cutaways that allow easy access to the higher range of its 22 frets. Its neck, also made of mahogany, is carved to Gibson's SlimTaper profile, one that's notoriously comfortable. The neck boasts a fingerboard of Indian rosewood, topped with acrylic trapezoid inlays. The Theodores Graph Tech nut measures at 1.695 inches, and the total scale length is 24.75 inches. Atop the Scimitar headstock, Grover Mini Rotomatic tuning machines add a touch of vintage-inspired flair to complement this iconic design.

The real highlight of the Theodore Standard, however, is its '57 Classic Plus bridge pickup and '57 Classic neck pickup, both hand-wired with master volume and tone controls. Since their debut in the late 1950s, Gibson's "Patent Applied For" humbuckers have garnered a wide fanbase for their velvety sound. The '57 Classic and Classic Plus humbuckers mirrors the original PAF design, boasting slightly overwound coils similar to those wound in the late 1950s. Each of these '57 humbuckers features enamel-coated wiring, Alnico II magnets, and maple spacers for a lush output whether played clean or with overdrive.

In the hardware realm, the addition of an aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece adds a touch of distinction between this version and the Gibson Custom Shop Theodore models of 2022.

Each Theodore comes with a custom hardshell case.

Amazing!
Format: Kindle, Format: Kindle
This book was phenomenal, I devoured it within a few days! For this being a debut novel, it is fantastic and I would’ve thought the author was a seasoned author. I have zero complaints about this book. Let me start by saying that the world building was phenomenal. I could picture everything in my head because of how detailed it was — that’s how good it was written. And I absolutely love the “captive/captor” trope so much, it’s become one of my favorite tropes, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that this book had that. I loved the banter between Rogue and Ara — they’re both snarky and witty, plus with the romantic tension, it made the dialogue that much better. Speaking of romantic tension, yes there is spice but not so much of it that it overrides the plot, which I loved. For me, this would probably be on the 3/5 level of spice. This book had a ton of plot twists and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

High on Tropes and Satisfaction
Format: Kindle
This is a great Romantasy book full of action, adventure, and everything you look for in this genre. I won’t lie: it does kinda feel like the author found every common trope from every successful book of this kind and threw them all into this novel. But if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Especially in romance, there’s a large audience who has specific expectations, and they want them every time. Nothing wrong with that and many times I’m one of them. I have no idea what defines a spoiler honestly, so spoiler alert!!!!!!! Tropes include: Only one bed at the inn/bar Dissatisfaction with life before hunk appears Lost royalty The chosen one Montage of dress up time followed by shocked hunk Forbidden romance between two from rival peoples Power that cannot be controlled, simply guided/asked Gathering intel at the inn/bar FMC who knows how to fight/use weapons well There’s probably more but no need to list them all. Good story and I would recommend!

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.
