WD35X21038 Dishwasher Lower Rack Wheel and Stud Assembly
Key Features
- Complete Roller Kit: This 8-pack provides a full replacement set for the lower rack, ensuring smooth, balanced gliding on the dishwasher door and tub tracks.
- High-Temperature Durability: Constructed from heat-stabilized, food-grade plastic designed to withstand the intense thermal stress of "Sanitize" and "Heated Dry" cycles.
- Enhanced Axle Strength: Features a reinforced mounting stud (axle) that prevents the wheel from wobbling or popping off under the weight of heavy dish loads.
- Universal Smooth-Glide: The wheel surface is engineered to minimize friction against the tub track, preventing "stuttering" when pulling the rack out.

Compatibility & Fitment
This wheel assembly is a standard part for various 24-inch built-in dishwashers. Key compatible brands and models include:
- GE (General Electric): Fits hundreds of models, including the GDT, GDF, PDT, and GSD series (e.g., GDT695SSJ0SS, GDF520PGD1BB).
- Kenmore / Sears: Compatible with select 363-series dishwashers manufactured by GE.
- Hotpoint: Fits various HDA and HDB series standard-tub models.
- Adora & Profile: Compatible with high-end GE sub-brands utilizing the WD35X series rollers.
When to Replace
- Rack Sagging: The lower rack sits unevenly or "tilts" to one side, potentially causing the spray arm to hit the dishes.
- Difficult Operation: The rack is hard to pull out or push in, often requiring significant force or lifting.
- Melted or Deformed Wheels: Visible flat spots or warping on the plastic wheels caused by proximity to the heating element or age.
- Broken Studs: The wheel has fallen off because the plastic axle "fingers" that snap into the rack have snapped or become brittle.
- Noise: A loud squeaking or grinding sound when the rack moves along the dishwasher door.
Installation Tips
- Safety First: Ensure the dishwasher is off and the lower rack is completely empty and removed from the machine.
- Removal: Use a flat-head screwdriver to gently pry the old stud out of the rack wire, or simply squeeze the locking tabs if they are still intact.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the metal rack wires where the new wheels will attach to remove any grease or mineral buildup.
- Snap-Fit: Position the new wheel and stud against the rack wire and apply firm pressure until the locking tabs click securely into place.
- Track Inspection: Before reinserting the rack, check the dishwasher's tub tracks for debris or food particles that could obstruct the new wheels.
