About the Artist: Gerome Meminger Sr. is a Virginia-born artist, poet, and author who discovered his passion for art after retiring from military service. A self-taught painter, Meminger is known for his abstract and impressionistic style, often blending vivid color fields with rhythmic compositions inspired by music. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums across the United States and Europe, and has been reviewed for inclusion in the Smithsonian African American Cultural & Heritage Museum in Washington, D.C. Meminger has also been commissioned for works in the Hampton University Museum and the Hampton Roads Convention Center
