Pecan Block P486 2.4" x 2.6" x 8.5" 1.5 lbs. This is an eye-catching block of Pecan. It's a limb piece, cut from a small-diameter branch. We've trimmed off most of the bark. This piece has some pretty grain and lots of small branch buds that create interesting textures. This piece has been air-dried to 12-14% moisture content. The branch pith is present and has some fine cracks that appear to be shallow though you could reinforce with CA glue if you wish. One end of the block is square with the dimensions measured. The other end is more rounded with a diameter of 2.3". About the Tree This Texas-grown Pecan tree was harvested in Fresno Texas in December, 2021. It was in a residential neighborhood where it had been planted near a home that was built in the 1930s. Over the years, the small Pecan tree grew large, and it threatened the house. The homeowners reluctantly called their tree company to cut down the tree and stack the wood for us to recover. We're always happy to save wood from the firepit or city dump. Their tree is now yours to treasure! |

Love this bag!

I love this backpack! I had a messenger style bag before this one and when I would look for things, other things would fall out because it was one big pouch. This is so much better. I can fit everything I need in it and everything has a place. The zippers are not cheap flimsy ones. They will definitely stand the test of time. The material is awesome and is definitely water resistant. I got caught in the rain and my things were kept nice and dry. The style is so cute too! It’s my favorite color.

Easy to use, multi strap, everyday bag
This bag is super handy and feels very durable. I at first didn’t like the 3 types of straps included on it because it felt like over kill but I don’t mind it after using it regularly. I wish the long strap was thicker, more durable material but it does match the sewn on straps on the bag. The design is a bit bold for my taste but it is different, fun and unique. The canvas texture of the bag makes it easy to use everyday without concerns of excessive wear. It also has a large carrying capacity. I can fit tablet, phone, makeup, snack, large water bottle, wallet and more while still zipping at the top. I would have given 5 ⭐️ if not for the long strap which I don’t feel will last with heavy loading and daily use. And if you switch the strap out it won’t match the sewn on ones so that’s a bummer.

3.5 stars, really - not a bad bag
Okay, I like this bag. I will use it and I'm glad I got it. However...
First of all, it smelled terrible out of the package. It's like a chemical smell and a rotten smell. That may just be the one I got. I let it air out by hanging it on our hall tree, and it has gotten better.
The material is like a thin corduroy almost, which I like better than canvas. I also like how the decorative strap on the bag matches the handle straps. There is plenty of room in this bag, but it's not a bottomless cavern. So you can still find what you are looking for in it.
You could use this for a laptop bag or professional bag. I will probably just carry it as a purse with certain outfits. I think the brown color goes with a lot, and the designs all work for fall.
