The Gretsch G6120T-59 VS Edition '59 Chet Atkins Hollow Body with Bigsby and TV Jones pickups is a tribute to the iconic collaboration between the legendary guitarist Chet Atkins and Gretsch Guitars. Chet Atkins, a pioneering fingerstyle guitarist, played an integral role in shaping the design and features of Gretsch instruments throughout his career. The G6120T-59 model aims to capture the essence of Chet Atkins' signature sound and vintage aesthetics, featuring the 1959 trestle bracing for enhanced tonal resonance.

Body and Construction:

The G6120T-59 boasts a laminated maple body, providing a bright and focused tone with excellent sustain. This model features the distinctive G6120 body shape, which is a double-cutaway hollow body design that offers easy access to the upper frets. The guitar is finished in vintage orange stain nitrocellulose lacquer, adding a touch of classic visual appeal.

Neck and Fingerboard:

The neck of the G6120T-59 is crafted from maple, a tonewood that contributes to the guitar's bright and snappy sound. The neck profile is a vintage "V" shape, offering a comfortable and authentic playing experience reminiscent of the original 1959 model. The fingerboard is made of ebony and features a 12" radius, 22 vintage small frets, and pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays for a sleek and sophisticated appearance.

Bracing and Resonance:

Trestle bracing, as featured in the Gretsch G6120T-59 VS Edition '59 Chet Atkins Hollow Body, is a unique internal bracing system that utilizes two parallel, U-shaped spruce braces that resemble bridge trestles, hence the name. These braces extend from the neck joint down to the center of the guitar's body, terminating right below the bridge, positioned between the f-holes and underneath the pickups and bridge.

Each trestle brace has two "feet," resulting in four points of contact that are glued to the guitar's back, offering a more rigid connection than the single point of attachment found in sound-post bracing.

The upper portions of the trestles are glued to the elongated tone bar braces that run parallel beneath the top, extending well past the bridge, and to which the pickups are mounted. This entire structure adds rigidity to the top, contributing to better control over feedback compared to a single sound post attachment.

In essence, the trestle bracing system in the Gretsch G6120T-59 Chet Atkins Hollow Body significantly enhances the guitar's structural stability and feedback resistance, while still allowing for a rich and resonant tonality that is characteristic of hollow body guitars.

Pickups and Electronics:

The G6120T-59 is equipped with TV Jones Filter'Tron Classic pickups in both the neck and bridge positions. These pickups provide a well-defined, articulate tone with a distinctive vintage character that complements the guitar's construction and aesthetics. The electronics include separate volume controls for each pickup, a master volume control, and a 3-position master tone switch that offers a range of tonal shaping options.

Hardware:

This model features Grover V98 Sta-Tite open-back tuning machines for precise tuning stability, a 1.6875" bone nut for optimal tone transfer, and a rocking bar bridge paired with a Bigsby B6C vibrato tailpiece, allowing for expressive pitch control and smooth vibrato effects. The guitar is strung with .011"-.049" gauge strings, providing a balanced tension and feel.

In summary, the Gretsch G6120T-59 VS Edition '59 Chet Atkins Hollow Body with Bigsby and TV Jones pickups pays homage to the legendary partnership between Chet Atkins and Gretsch Guitars. With its 1959 trestle bracing, vintage-inspired design, and high-quality components, this model offers a professional playing experience and exceptional tonal qualities for players seeking the iconic Chet Atkins sound.

Fairly Priced and Fairly Nice iPad Pro Case
Color: Light Pink
I was on the hunt for a case for my iPad Pro (6th generation), and let me tell you, it was a wild ride! I scoured every review I could find, but it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. The ones that were reasonably priced had all sorts of issues, and the ones that looked fancy were way too expensive and had just as many problems. Now, I know what you might be thinking: “You get what you pay for, right?” Well, I was determined to find a case that fit my budget and didn’t have too many complaints. After hours of searching, I finally stumbled upon a case that seemed to be a reasonable match. Here’s why I picked this one: It has most of the features I wanted. It covers the lens on the back of the iPad, and there’s a holder on top for the pencil allowing it to charge. I’ve gone through two cases before, and they all started to wear out pretty quickly. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on another case that would just fall apart so I found this one to be reasonably priced. The case itself is nice and sturdy, and it’s a great fit for my iPad. I charged the keyboard for the recommended 5 hours before I first used it, and I haven’t had a chance to test the battery life yet. But after charging, it was a breeze to connect it to my iPad. A little heads up: the connect button is actually the “C” on the keyboard, not the command or control key. I know, I know, confusing! But once you press the keys, Bluetooth turns on, and connection to the iPad went without any issues. I’ve seen some reviews mentioning that special characters weren’t working or that the keyboard would just stop working randomly. But so far, everything seems to be working perfectly. I’ll definitely update this review if anything changes. One thing I really like about this keyboard case is that once it’s connected, you don’t have to reconnect it again. That’s a huge plus! Another cool feature is that the instructions for pairing and using the keyboard are right on the bottom of the keyboard, which is super handy. Pros: - style and fit. - different angles for propping iPad while typing or watching videos - instructions for pairing and use on the bottom of the keyboard, Cons: - The only downside I’ve found so far is that you can’t swivel the iPad from landscape to portrait because the case doesn’t allow for that movement. For me this is a minor inconvenience, because I just close the case and turn it to portrait. If that’s important to you, then this might not be the case for you. Another thing I have noticed is that sometime while I am typing, and I type fast, I will hit something and get dragged somewhere else on the screen. I think this is a user inspired issue, but it is not that big a deal for me. Overall, this is a good functional case with a pretty good keyboard and iPad protection. I’m giving it 4 stars explained below. My Stars Explained 5 - Like finding money in your old coat pocket - pure joy! 4 - Almost perfect - like a pizza with just one missing topping. 3 - Like a movie that’s just okay—neither a blockbuster nor a total flop 2 - Like a blind date that went horribly wrong - cringeworthy. 1 - Like stepping on a Lego in the dark - painful.

Perfect fit, secure pencil slot, great touchpad.
Color: Navy Blue
EXCELLENT Keyboard case. I tried several to find the right one. Tried a bluetooth keyboard by itself, but there wasn't the convenience of an "all in one". Tried another one that had a magnetic connection between the ipad and the keyboard, but the ipad was not as positionable as I needed it to be. This "folio-type" case is similar to what I use for all my other tablets and devices - slim, securely closing, perfectly fitting my 3rd gen ipad pro - AND the slot for the apple pencil is PERFECTION! The touchpad is a little stiffer than I like but then I realized I DON'T actually have to press it to use it - just a tap accomplishes the same thing. I rely on the touchpad for a lot and this case is just really exactly what I need.

good value and battery life
Color: Purple
Love this!! the keyboard has a good life on it and charges pretty fast. I at first didn't really like that it detaches, but being able to hold the keyboard in my lap and type on the screen while I sit on the sofa is actually pretty nice. the trackpad does have a bit of a learning curve, but gestures/hotkeys are all listed on the bottom so it's easy to check whenever necessary. The material of the case itself also cleans really easy. I spilled a drink on it and it wiped right off. I feel like this is a pretty good value all things considered, especially when similar products at big box stores can eb a couple hudnred bucks. The only downside is that the keyboard, while slim, does add a bit of bulk to the case. It's not a huge deal for me, but my boyfriend who also has an ipad did notice the difference immediately.

Works
Color: Light Gray
Heavy! It is a nice case and the keyboard works good. Turns off randomly, but not too annoying. This case is heavy though! It at least triples the weight of my iPad, which is opposite the reason I got an iPad Air. Too late to return, I just take the keyboard out, but it must be the magnets in the case that are so heavy.
