About the Brand
Kähler represents Nordic design and gastronomy, coupled with the great respect for its more than 175-year-old heritage and tradition - a brand universe in which all are welcome, where the emphasis is on authentic experience.
Started in 1839 by potter Herman J. Kähler, it was not until his son, Herman A. took over the workshop in 1875 that the company became known globally. With production of international art ceramics, the foundation was laid for one of the great success stories in Danish ceramics. Kähler was a family-run company for four generations until 1974, and a meeting place of distinguished artists.
