RÉSUMÉ: Années 1970 - Dans les quartiers pauvres de Salvador, sur les hauteurs de Bahia, vit une communauté composée de personnages pittoresques et chaleureux. Ils ont pour nom Coq Fou, Ygrec, Massu, Rosa Moustache… et Otalia. Cette dernière, prostituée au service de Dona Tiberia, est amoureuse du caporal Martim. Cette bande de joyeux drilles partage une passion commune pour la musique, la danse et l’amour. Mais leur pauvreté les confronte aussi régulièrement à la police.
A PROPOS DU FILM: Après Orfeu Negro (Palme d’or au Festival de Cannes en 1959), le réalisateur Marcel Camus (Le mur de l’Atlantique) retourne à ses premières amours, le Brésil, avec Otalia de Bahia. Adaptation des Pâtres de la nuit, roman de Jorge Amado, Otalia de Bahia est un hymne à l’amour et à la liberté, où les héros sont les habitants des favelas. Exploité à l’époque de la VHS, ce film était depuis tombé dans l’oubli. Otalia de Bahia, dont c’est la première sortie mondiale en Blu-ray, vous est enfin proposé en haute définition.

Good for a quick backdrop
This works well for what I needed – a simple background for my kids’ online school. It’s lightweight and very easy to put together, and it stands up fine without needing to mount anything.
The color is listed as black, but it’s more of a dark gray in person. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of. It’s not super heavy duty, but it does the job for privacy and as a video backdrop.
Overall, a good, portable divider that’s quick to set up and works well for light use.
