With this question in mind, James Eleganz imagined his second collaboration with Larry Mullins alias Toby Dammit (Iggy Pop, Swans, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds), artistic director and mate since "The Only One", released in 2019. Together, they created James Eleganz's new album named "Hotel Augusta" (release in October 2022). To bring back the electric and troubling city's texture, they call on the man with the Fender Jaguar, Geoffrey Burton, partner of Arno, Bashung. Bertrand Burgalat joined them on the piano and on the bass guitar. On an unexpected register, Burgalat played enthusiastically and with style the ten James Eleganz's new songs with everlasting themes such as love and his madness. Recorded and mixed at the Candy Bomber studio by Ingo Krauss, "Hotel Augusta" is constructed like a night ride in a dreamy Berlin. This Album establishes James Eleganz as an artist to be reckoned with for many years to come.
