This beautiful block of Texas Ebony is about 80% dark chocolate brown of Texas Ebony heartwood and 20% lighter honey blonde of Texas Ebony sapwood. The grain pattern is striking it swirls around several burl buds and sweeps the length of the block. There is crisp contrast between the heartwood and sapwood. The block has some complexity that is typical of Texas Ebony there are two branch voids

The grain pattern is striking -- it swirls around several burl buds and sweeps the length of the block. There is crisp contrast between the heartwood and sapwood. The block has some complexity that is typical of Texas Ebony -- there are two branch voids (where a branch was encased in the tree but then fell out, leaving a bit of a hole).
