He’s good about dropping and leaving the chunk he rips off but I’d just keep a cautious eye on your dog if you notice a piece is starting to break away. (Side note: when a piece does start breaking off, my husband and I both struggle and typically can’t rip it off) We let him play with it until it’s just the flower and then throw it away and repurchase.
