The Traditions by Mosaic Puzzles™ line brings our long-standing commitment to quality, whimsy, and beauty to traditional jigsaw puzzles with standard, more uniform piece shapes, made from a premium cardboard material.

More about Traditions by Mosaic Puzzles™:

  • Beautiful packaging: Our Traditions puzzles arrive beautifully packaged in a high-quality box that displays the puzzle’s artwork on the front. Inside the box, you will find a soft, velvety bag, in which you can store your pieces, making it easier to house and travel with your puzzles without losing any pieces!

  • Dust-free: You won’t find any “puzzle dust,” typical of lower quality puzzles in your Traditions by Mosaic box. This keeps your hands and assembly surfaces clean and makes for a better puzzling experience.

  • Smooth & Strong pieces The front of Traditions by Mosaic™ pieces have a smooth-to-the-touch surface. Each piece is stiff and does not bend easily, making for the same experience every time you assemble your puzzle. Perfect for annual traditions!

  • Highest quality: Our solid piece interlocking helps your puzzle keep its shape even when moved or even lifted slightly.

Please note: This puzzle is not a Signature Wooden Puzzle with whimsy pieces but instead a traditional jigsaw puzzle with standard, more uniform piece shapes. The pieces are not made of wood. To view our Signature Wooden Puzzles instead, please visit: Signature puzzles page

Makes you think!
Format: School & Library Binding
Jared Diamond’s Guns, Germs, and Steel is all about figuring out why some societies became super powerful while others didn’t. His main idea is that geography and the environment had a huge impact. Basically, places with good crops and animals to farm had an easier time growing and becoming stronger. The book mixes history, science, and geography in a way that’s pretty easy to follow, even though it covers a lot. Some people think Diamond focuses too much on geography and doesn’t consider enough other factors, but it definitely makes you think differently about history and why the world is the way it is today. It’s a really interesting read if you’re into learning about why things turned out the way they did.

Great book
The narrator possesses a refined and compelling voice, and the author's writing style stimulates the mind. The author uses a tremendous amount of detail to avoid unnecessary/inaccurate generalizations and intentional/unintentional misinterpretations. However, the author executes this feat without allowing the reader to feel lost in mundane facts. I enjoyed the author's use of rhetorical questions to explore the viewpoints of persons who oppose his assertions. Overall, an informative and invigorating read. I highly recommend this book for anyone who has ever asked, "Why did certain people and cultures end up with so much, while others ended up with so little".

Guns, Germa and Steel Audio Version
A great audio adaptation of a great book. I listened to it on my commute to work. I have the actual book, but had no time to sit down and read it. If you are very busy, audio versions of books really work well.
