Destijds was het een geschenk van koning João V aan een van zijn hofdames, Dona Maria, op wie hij hopeloos verliefd was. Op dit prachtige, oude domein wordt wijn gemaakt volgens de modernste technologie maar daarnaast ook nog steeds op de klassieke manier. Zo zijn de druiven voor deze wijn, afkomstig van 40 jaar oude stokken, handmatig geplukt en in de marmeren lagares met de voeten getreden. De druivensoort Touriga Nacional is een van de belangrijkste inheemse blauwe druivensoorten van Portugal en en wordt gebruikt voor port-wijnen maar ook voor karakteristieke, heerlijke, geconcentreerde rode wijnen. De wingerd beslaat 80 ha waarvan 12 ha metwitte en 68 met rode druiven is beplant. De terroir bestaat uit klei en kalk die water vasthoudt waardoor geen irrigatie nodig is. De druiven worden met de hand geoogst, met de voeten getreden, waarna de most in 7 dagen vergist. Na demalolactische gisting rijpt de jonge wijn 12 maanden op nieuw Frans eiken. Op dronk en houdbaar, mits goed bewaard, tot 10 jaar na de oogst. It is almost great.

It is a nice sponge holder but the tray is not wide enough and it falls. Because it was the only one I found with a spout, I am keeping it, and figured a way to stick it so the tray doesn't fall. The other thing is that the tray is not sunken enough in the middle for all the water to be routed there, and the spout doesn't always get rid of all the water inside, so once in a few days, I have to manually press it down and more water comes out.
The dishcloth rack is not great for cloths, they get wet.
Other than that, it looks very nice, it is aesthetic, big enough for all my kitchen stuff, and makes my kitchen neater, so I like it.

Love this product very convenient

This was great to keep all my brushes, cloth, detergent and scrubby together and neat. I love the drainage and it looks clean. The only thing I don't care for is the bar that holds the cloth comes off all the time. Other than that it is great.
