Deze bijzondere kaarsen worden vervaardigd door vrouwen die deelnemen aan een project ter bescherming van het Guatemalteekse hooggebergte. Om de kaarsen stevigheid te geven, wordt een klein percentage bijenwas toegevoegd, waardoor ze niet te breekbaar zijn.

Sommige kaarsen worden natuurlijk geverfd, terwijl voor de felle kleuren veilige kleurstoffen worden gebruikt. Onze groene varianten worden prachtig gekleurd met natuurlijke kleurstoffen. Met een diameter van ongeveer een centimeter en een hoogte van 16 cm passen deze kaarsen perfect in de houders van de jaarringen van Grimms, en voor extra stabiliteit kun je een klein stukje aluminiumfolie of een beetje wax gebruiken.
