Kraft papier wordt gemaakt van papierpulp en is vaak herkenbaar aan de natuurlijke bruine uitstraling. Het woord "kraft" is Duits voor sterk en dat is het ook. Daarnaast heeft het een hoge dichtheid wat ervoor zorgt dat er nauwelijks vocht door het papier heen kan. Kraft papier is bovendien een duurzaam alternatief voor standaard papier, omdat het zeer goed gerecycled kan worden.
