Het mes van Robert Herder, dat bekend staat als het kromme molenmesje, is perfect geschikt voor het schillen van zowel aardappels als fruit. Met een lemmetlengte van 6cm en een handvat gemaakt van beukenhout, voldoet dit mes aan alle eisen.

De messen van Robert Herder worden al sinds jaar en dag met de hand vervaardigd in Solingen, Duitsland. Bijna elke stap in het productieproces wordt (deels) met de hand uitgevoerd. Het lemmet wordt handmatig geslepen en het handvat krijgt een handmatige schuurbeurt. Deze messen worden gemaakt van hoogwaardig carbonstaal (koolstofstaal) en worden geslepen volgens de speciale "dunschliff" methode. Hierdoor zijn ze dunner en snijden ze gemakkelijker. Het gebruik van koolstofstaal maakt deze messen langer scherp, maar gevoeliger voor roestvorming. Om dit te voorkomen, dienen de messen direct na gebruik met de hand gereinigd en afgedroogd te worden.

Our dogs hurt their mouths chewing these bones

Their last rubber bones (not these) which we've purchased before, and recently purchased again, were destroyed quickly. Chunks of rubber came off the ends. Since those didn't hold up like they used to, I found these harder bones hoping they would last longer. They were able to gnaw into the hard plastic within a few minutes. This created sharp edges that cut their mouths. When I saw a bit of blood on the bones, I took them away from the dogs and threw them away. I wondered why they quit chewing on them after being so excited at first. Also, these are hard enough to damage a tooth.
