Met Carte Blanche maakt de Nederlandse designer Annebet Philips haar debuut bij Serax. Voor deze servieslijn vertaalde ze klassieke kopjes en schotels naar eenvoudige, bijna kinderlijke vormen. Haar eerste ontwerpen ontstonden uit karton, waarna deze speelse prototypes zijn omgezet in porselein met behoud van de vouwlijnen en onregelmatige randen.
