Massaluca Garnatxa Negre

De Massaluca Garnatxa Negre is een karaktervolle rode wijn uit Spanje, afkomstig uit de regio Terra Alta in Catalonië, in het noordoosten van het land. Deze wijn wordt gemaakt van Garnatxa (Grenache) en een klein deel Samsó (Carignan), afkomstig van wijngaarden op ongeveer 400 meter hoogte. Door de warme dagen en koele nachten rijpen de druiven langzaam en behouden ze hun frisheid. Na de vergisting rijpt de wijn ongeveer 6 maanden op eikenhouten vaten, wat zorgt voor extra diepgang en een zachte structuur.

In de geur en smaak ontdek je rijp zwart en rood fruit zoals bramen en kersen, gecombineerd met tonen van chocolade, kruiden en een lichte houttoets. In de mond is de wijn vol en rond, met een mooie balans tussen fruit, frisheid en zachte tannines. De afdronk is soepel en aangenaam. Deze wijn is heerlijk bij gegrild vlees, stoofgerechten en stevige kazen. Serveer de wijn op 16–18 °C voor de beste smaakbeleving.

Wijnhuis Massaluca
Massaluca is een kleinschalig wijnproject uit Terra Alta, gelegen in het dorp La Pobla de Massaluca, vlak bij de rivier de Ebro. De wijngaarden liggen tussen olijf- en amandelbomen en profiteren van een ideaal klimaat voor wijnbouw. Amazing ability to calm red, itchy skin but pricier than alternatives
When I saw this product, I was a bit skeptical. I have extremely dry skin that’s prone to red, itchy spots but it seemed unlikely a misty spray would be anywhere near as beneficial as the creams and ointments I’ve turned to over the years. Since I’ve used other COOLA products and really liked them, I decided to give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised. I tried it on a couple of red patches on my face. There’s an immediate feeling of cooling relief (which leads me to believe this would also be a great solution for a burn), but what I found amazing was the redness decreased significantly and immediately. After a few minutes, I was able to put on makeup, forgoing concealer on those spots. I also tried it on a red, itchy spot on my leg, again calming the itch and decreasing the redness. Just because it seemed unwise to start using hypochlorous acid, the active ingredient in this spray, knowing nothing about it, I did a bit of online research. Apparently, not only is it considered safe and recommended by dermatologists for eczema like conditions, it also is antibacterial and can be used to keep cuts clean and help them heal. I’m sold on the concept of this spray. My one hesitation is that it seems to be more expensive than other similar options – particularly when you do the math to determine cost per ounce. I am a real fan of the COOLA brand, but given that my skin is such that I’ll probably use this regularly, the cost differential may become prohibitive. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who wants it on hand for the occasional sunburn or blemish. For those like me who would benefit by using it once or more per day, while still singing its praises as to efficacy, I would have to qualify the recommendation due to price.
