Iroko is een donkerbruine en duurzame West-Afrikaanse loofhoutsoort. Het blijft vaak onbehandeld en vergrijst prachtig en egaal in de loop der jaren.

Ayous is een witte soort loofboom die afkomstig is uit West-Afrika. Deze tropische zachthoutsoort heeft dezelfde duurzaamheid verkregen als tropische hardhoutsoorten (padouk, afromosia, afzelia,…).

Padoek is een uitzonderlijk stabiel hout uit Midden- en West-Afrika. Het is intens koraalrood en verkleurt onder invloed van licht en vocht naar bruingrijze tinten.
