Deze Ginkgo biloba 'Autumn Gold' , Japanse notenboom is een conifeer en kan een hoogte tot circa 25 meter bereiken. Het heeft een gelijkmatige, opgaande ovaalvormige groeiwijze met een grote, ronde kroon. De kleine, blauwgroene bladeren zijn waaiervormig, die in bundels van 3-5 bijeen staan. In de herfst verkleuren de bladeren naar goudgeel. Dit is een mannelijke selectie en heeft daarom geen vruchten. Ginkgo biloba 'Autumn Gold' houdt van een standplaats in de zon. Hij groeit het best op een normale, niet te natte bodem met een goed structuur. Deze plant verdraagt een temperatuur van -25 °C. Snoeien is bij deze boom niet nodig. De boom is ziektevrij wanneer de standplaats en verzorging optimaal zijn.
