De Scheldestad van de 19de eeuw vormt het grauwe decor, met haar welig tierende prostitutie, kleurige artiestenmilieu en donkere stegen die menig geheim verbergen. Zelfs het stadsbestuur blijkt het niet zo nauw te nemen met de waarheid…
Auteur JAN LAMPO schreef tv-scenario’s, historische non-fictie, een verhalenbundel en twee romans. Hij was zes jaar redacteur bij De Standaard. Momenteel is hij wetenschappelijk medewerker in het AMVC-Letterenhuis in Antwerpen
