Warmte is van levensbelang voor reptielen om hun lichaamstemperatuur op pijl te houden, UVA zorgt voor een goede eetlust en actief dier en UVB bootst de straling van de zon na. Enkel onder UVB licht kan het dier vitamine D3 aanmaken, wat onmisbaar is voor een goede ontwikkeling van botten en de stofwisseling. Deze lamp combineert al deze elementen en zorgt zo voor een gezond dier. De lamp heeft een grote fitting (E27) en heeft ingebouwde ballast. Er is geen voorschakelapparaat nodig met deze lamp.
