Een chickensitter is beter dan een bierblik, omdat dit veel steviger staat op je kamado en hierdoor dus ook veiliger is. Het is ook heel praktisch om meteen je bijgerecht om de kip heen te leggen, zo trekken alle smaken van de kip goed in de groente en aardappelen. Hierdoor krijg je een heerlijk gerecht op tafel zonder al te veel moeite.  

Hoe werkt een chickensitter? 
Vul de chickenholder, holte waar je de kip overheen zet, met vloeistof. Kies bijvoorbeeld voor bier, voor beercan chicken. Of ga je liever voor cola of wijn? Verdeel de groente en/of aardappeltjes in de brede rand van de kipstandaard. Plaats vervolgens de kip op de chickenholder en zet op de bbq!

De gietijzeren chickensitter heeft rondom de kipstandaard een brede rand voor bijgerechten, en is zeer goed bestand tegen hoge temperaturen. Het voordeel is dan ook dat het gietijzer de temperatuur lang vast houdt. Dus wanneer de pan van de Kamado of uit de oven komt en op tafel gezet wordt, kan het lang tafelen beginnen want je kip en bijgerecht blijft lang warm. 

Voor welke kamado’s is de gietijzeren chickensitter geschikt?
Deze chickensitter met schaal is door de afmetingen geschikt voor kamado’s van 16″ en groter. De chickensitter past ook op 15″ kamado’s waarvan de dome een binnendiameter heeft van minimaal 35 cm.

Onderhoud
Na gebruik schoonmaken met water. Gebruik het liefst geen afwasmiddelen, dit beschadigt de seasoning! Eventueel bij sterk aangekoekte resten kun je wat zout gebruiken en de pan met een scrubber schoon boenen.

Het is belangrijk om de pan na het schoonmaken goed te drogen en eventueel te behandelen met een laagje olie, gebruik hiervoor een plantaardige olie. Mocht je de pan toch schoon gemaakt hebben met afwasmiddel of zout dan is het belangrijk om hem te verwarmen zodat alle vocht verdampt. Breng vervolgens als de pan nog heet is een laagje olie aan, gebruik bijvoorbeeld olijfolie. 

Gietijzeren pannen zijn niet geschikt voor de vaatwasser.

Great product with unexpected results and skincare benefits

I have been reading about Micellar water products for a couple of years, and finally purchased these wipes to try. I am currently working very long hours and the selling point for these wipes was that they weren't soap-based, and didn't require a toner after using. I keep them on my night stand and take my makeup off with them prior to going to bed. (I do not use them for removing mascara - I use another product for that.) The biggest point I want to share is that I have been using these wipes exclusively for makeup removal for a little more than two weeks. I have had a stubborn blackhead on my nose for a good 20 years that wouldn't budge, no matter how often I used exfoliating products, and I've invested a lot of money in high end exfoliators in an attempt to make that spot go away. It has grown larger over the years, and was a skincare peeve of mine. I noticed a couple of days ago that that blackhead is beginning to break down and get smaller. I thought at first that I was imagining it, but that blackhead is honestly a good two-thirds gone. This is just from using these wipes! I would never have predicted that something this simple and quite soft and insubstantial as a disposable face wipe would have such effective results for blackhead breakdown, but they're doing the trick. I have noticed smaller blackheads on my chin area are also melting away. I predict that in another few weeks of use, my skin is going to be as close to blackhead-free as it is humanly possible to achieve. (For the record, I don't have a lot of blackheads - just a handful that have taken up residence over the years and refused to budge, getting larger with age.) These are safe for my sensitive skin, and have exfoliating benefits that I wouldn't ever have expected or predicted. Full disclosure: I do spend a good 3-5 minutes using a single wipe on my face, neck, and décolletage, scrubbing with the nubby side (there is a nubby, exfoliating side, and smooth side to each wipe) and using the whole cloth in sections until I have used it all. Finally, I also use it on the tops of my hands. I definitely get my money's worth out of each wipe! I wholeheartedly encourage people to try this product. I now have it on Auto-Ship status, as I don't want to ever be without these wipes in my skincare arsenal.
