Na de alcoholische en malolactische gisting rijpt de wijn ongeveer 10 12 maanden op barrique, gevolgd door minstens 3 maanden verfijning op fles. Visueel kenmerkt de Leverano Riserva DOP zich door een intense robijnrode kleur. In de neus

De oogst gebeurt van half september voor de Malvasia Nera tot de eerste week van oktober voor de Negroamaro. Na het ontstelen van de druiven fermenteert de most 6 à 7 dagen op de schillen bij een temperatuur van 24-26°C. Na de alcoholische en malolactische gisting rijpt de wijn ongeveer 10-12 maanden op barrique, gevolgd door minstens 3 maanden verfijning op fles.

Visueel kenmerkt de Leverano Riserva DOP zich door een intense robijnrode kleur. In de neus een omhullend, complex boeket met tonen van rijpe rode vruchten en lichte kruidigheid. In de mond is de wijn warm, rijk en zacht, met een uiterst lange afdronk die typerend is voor Negroamaro.

De structuur is stevig en perfect in balans, waardoor deze wijn uitstekend geschikt is om te bewaren. Heerlijk bij geroosterd rood vlees, wild en gerijpte kazen.]
