De Merlot druiven vinden we in de Pumanque Estate Vineyard aangeplant op de granieten heuvels van de kustgebieden. Er heerst een mediterraan klimaat met veel regen. De bodem bestaat uit graniet, aangevuld met klei. Deze laatste speelt een belangrijke rol bij het vasthouden van water zodat er voldoende textuur aan de wijnen kan worden toegevoegd. Dankzij de nabijgelegen Stille Oceaan is er ook voldoende frisheid in de wijngaarden. De Merlot druiven worden met de hand geoogst en vervolgens meteen naar de wijnmakerij gebracht. Hier volgt een strenge selectie, waarbij alleen de beste druiven goed genoeg zijn voor de uiteindelijke vinificatie. De fermentatie vindt vervolgens plaats met geselecteerde gisten. De pumpovers zijn aan het begin van het proces intenser en verminderen naar het einde. Om de fruitigheid te kunnen behouden wordt de temperatuur goed in de gaten gehouden en daalt deze aan het eind van het fermentatieproces. Vervolgens wordt de wijn overbracht in vaten voor de malolactische gisting en rijping. De rijping duurt zo’n 12 maanden.De gebalanceerde Merlot van Santa Rita
Het resulteert in een intens donkere wijn. De aroma’s vliegen je om de oren. Zwart fruit, bosbessen, zwarte kersen en aardbeien vermengen zich met kruidige tonen dankzij de houtlagering. De smaak is zijdeachtig met een mooie balans tussen zuur en fruitig. De wijn voelt lekker fris aan, maar heeft wel de nodige kracht en concentratie. Came with low ink!

Will edit! - currently just opened the machine to get it set up and the machine says ink is low, all ink is low. When I used the Amazon trouble shoot chat all it did was say sorry and gave me a link to return. I just want this machine to work with there to be ink! It’s not like this was cheap, the ink that comes with should work and not be empty.

Works Beautifully

I looked up videos on YouTube to get tips on using this as I'm a visual learner. I love using my Cricut and making tumblers, and as someone familiar with crafting, it felt second nature using this. Everything worked smoothly and nothing seemed out of place. There’s a bit of a learning curve, but if you're crafty, you'll settle in quickly. The print quality is fantastic, easily higher quality than my inkjet printer. The included “starter ink” gets you going, and replacements are easy to get online. You use the ink they provide which lasts a long time. The results speak for themselves, sharp, vivid, and professional looking prints every time. Definite recommend from me!

Way too expensive, but good quality. Monopolies do that.
Model: 500N BNDL
Makes great prints but is twice the cost of what it should be and the ink is ridiculously expensive. The "starter ink" that is included will prime the lines, but will immediately show you a "low ink" warning. So be prepared to almost immediately spend another $350 on ink. If you use unauthorized ink Sawgrass will lock up your printer and make it unusable. That monopoly is how they can charge so much. Cost is the downside by a longshot. Also - having to use their "Print Manager" slows down production by adding several extra steps after pressing print. Making our shop less efficient. That being said - the quality of the prints we get with Sawgrass is superior to other printers for sublimation.

Changed for the worse

I have used my sawgrass SG500’s and an SG1000 for over 10 years with great success and made around 250,000 mugs and ornaments. As you can see, all the 1 star reviews are from this year for good reason. I wish I had read them before I bought a new 500 model. All my prints are now grainy. I have spent days online and it is normal with the new Print Utility and it seems to be the same for everyone in the last few months. I have been unable to find a fix and customer service is useless. It takes days of chat and emails to have what would be a 15 minute conversation. I don’t want to go through the hassle of learning a new system but unless I can get my issues solved in the next few days, I will.
The actual printing is faster but it takes several minutes per print to set up. I have to spend about 4-5 times as long to set up a print as I did with the old Print Manager. Instead of spending a half hour to print my art each day, I have to spend at least 2 hours and I get a lower quality print. Unless they can get me set up to use Print Manager again instead of the new Print Utility, I’m getting a different printer.

Not enough ink

Printer is good quality but barely has enough ink to fill lines. With a printer of this cost you would think you would get a full tank of ink. Especially since replacement ink is over 300 dollars
