The Omega 321 also known as the Ed White Speedmaster is an exceptional feat of engineering. Ed White was the first man to walk on the moon and he did so whilst wearing one of the very first Omega Speedmaster watches with the 321 movement. The 321 movement was discontinued shortly after it took the epic journey to the moon but decades later Omega decided to do something extremely special and recreated the original Omega 321.
To produce this watch, Omega had to 3D scan an original 321 watch and movement so that they could recreate the exact movement with modern technology. Through various techniques, Omega has created a blueprint of the original movement and individual parts that they used to make the watch and movement. Omega creates an incredibly small amount of these watches, and to buy one at retail, you must be a VIP client.
The reason for such small numbers being produced is that one single watchmaker will handcraft the entire movement from start to finish and there are a limited number of watchmakers that can work on these movements.
The example we present to you today is an unworn model that will be sold as a complete and original set, including the original purchase receipt.
