SystemPods are for mounting a Radar or Chartplotter and Instruments together at the helm. Navigation at your finger tips. "Where you need it?when you need it". SystemPods are the smart solution for mounting your Radar or Chartplotter and Instruments together at the helm where you can easily operate and clearly see the fine details of the screen.

A SystemPod is best mounted on a Single Bend AngleGuard.

Structural Rigidity — The Gen3 enhancements now include a thicker gauge acrylic capped ABS material that improves strength and provides better structural rigidity. This thicker material allows for a larger waterproof seal. The better the structural rigidity, the less flexing when tightening and more uniform pressure on the seal. The excellent UV stability of the acrylic is combined with the durability of the ABS. The acrylic cap protects the ABS from UV and its potentially damaging effects on plastic.

Waterproof Seal — All SystemPods are manufactured with a double gasket system providing an excellent watertight seal. This seal provides the best protection of your Marine Electronics. SystemPods are made to withstand the harshest wet offshore boating conditions. Gen3 enhancements include a thicker external silicone gasket with improved flush fit. The internal Poran Microcell Polyurathane gasket is now 50% thicker and is not subject to "compression set" like many rubber compounds. This is important when you need to open the SystemPod in the future in order to service your electronics. The gasket will continue to do its job.

Nickel Chrome Plated Stainless Steel — We use all 316 stainless steel hardware that is supplied with each NavPod. Large round head tamperproof screws have deeper sockets for the NavPod wrench for better holding ability when tightening than screws used on our Traditional Series NavPod. For Gen3 NavPods we provide nickel chrome-plated stainless steel tamperproof screws for security combined with a little style!

Actual, honest-to-goodness fast charging

After unsuccessfully buying two different so-called "fast" chargers that completely lied about their charging ability, specifically for the Apple watch, I finally bought this one. What a world of difference! I have an Apple watch ultra, which is fantastic on battery life, and I appreciate that I can actually wear it while I sleep. I have to charge it about every day and a half, which means that sometimes I need to top it up while I'm at work. (Alternatively, I could be a slave about charging it every day at home, but part of the reason I switched to the Ultra is to not have to be that obsessive about charging.) Anyway, I needed a good charger at work. I ordered one that claimed to be 5W watch charging, and it blatantly lied. It took over an hour to get about 20% of a charge. I ordered another, similar results. This one is night and day different. My watch will fully charge at the posted speeds Apple boasts about with fast chargers. If it's running a little low during the day, I can pop it on the charger for 20-30 minutes and have enough juice to last through my hour+ swim workout, no problem. The phone charger is fast, too, and if you use a magsafe case, it has a very firm hold. Without a magsafe case, your phone may drop off the charger (mine did), which is frustrating. Since I have another magsafe charger at home, I just bought a new case (they're cheap) and now I'm super happy with this. The contact charger on the back will work to charge your phone (or a second phone) or earbuds, too. Very happy with this purchase. It's a bit pricier than the cheapo other brands, but it actually freaking works and charges quickly. It's worth the money.
