A cross rendered the way the old icon-makers would have made it — equal arms flaring into soft, cusped points, the gold hand-textured so it catches light like something unearthed rather than machine-stamped. Five natural champagne diamonds sit flush in smooth bezel settings across the face: one brilliant-cut stone at the heart, four anchoring each arm. The warm honey-amber of the stones against the hand-textured gold surface is unlike anything in contemporary jewelry. At approximately 1 inch tall and 1 inch wide, it reads clearly at the neckline without overpowering it.

The stones

Five natural champagne diamonds, .34ct total weight, round brilliant cut, graded on the Argyle C1–C7 color scale. The color is geological — formed over billions of years under extreme pressure, not treated or enhanced. Each stone is bezel-set individually into the hand-textured surface, the smooth gold collar holding it flush and secure against the skin. The champagne color — pale gold to warm honey — reads as one continuous warmth with the yellow or rose gold, and announces itself beautifully against white gold.

The form

The Byzantine cross is one of the oldest cross forms in Christianity — equal-armed, with the characteristic cusped terminals that appear in Orthodox iconography, church mosaics, and heritage jewelry from Constantinople through Queens. This pendant carries that form faithfully: the proportions are correct, the hand-textured surface catches light the way antique gold does, and the bezeled champagne diamonds read as part of the form rather than applied ornament. The metal

Available in solid 14K yellow gold, 14K white gold, and 14K rose gold. No plating, no gold-fill — solid throughout. Yellow gold is the most traditional reading for a Byzantine cross and works in continuous warmth with the champagne stones. White gold creates bold contrast, making the honey-amber of the diamonds announce themselves. Rose gold shares the same warm frequency as champagne diamonds — soft, luminous, quietly luxurious. All metals are nickel-free and safe for sensitive skin.
