Tatomer, Pinot Noir, Heidi 2015This limited edition Pinot Noir is named after my daughter of the same name and born in 2015. The fruit is 100% Pommard Clone from Duvarita Vineyard in Santa Barbara. I used 100% whole cluster fermentation and tried for a bit more extraction with the intent of making a more age worthy wine. Dark red fruits, and autumnal flavors consume one's palette and nose. The wine is light, silky, and has a nice amount of tannin to ensure a long life. This wine has been aged in neutral French oak for 18 months. Duvarita lies just west of Sta. Rita Hills and is farmed Biodynamically. The wine is almost as lovely as the girl.
