The Pino Slope is a robust slope soarer with a full carbon build. Due to its robust construction, difficult launch and landing scenarios are no limitation. This ship can land in the shrubs with-out damage.

The wing is held in place using nylon screws that are meant to snap on hard landings. The electrical connections from the fuse to the wing are through spring contacts (included) which prevents wiring harness damage if the wing was to break free on a hard landing.

The sizable control surfaces make this ship extremely agile and the very effective flaps allow steep, slow approaches to smallest landing sites. High fun factor and low damage are the key!

For the PINO slope PCM developed the proven "hard shell construction" without a sandwich. As with all of their "Slope" models, the outer skin of the wing consists of robust 160g carbon fabric. The wing construction is now even more precise and the overall construction even stiffer thanks to the 6 carbon webs manufactured in a special form. The tops are lacquered, the bottoms are largely in visible carbon.

The fuselage is manufactured in the same way as the other versions with 80g spread tow and black glass for undisturbed reception of 2.4GHz. The fuselage is manufactured using a special high-pressure process. The high fiber volume content achieved in this way ensures low weight and high breaking strength. The tail units consist of a Rohacell core with a 39g biaxial carbon layer as a coating.

Here's a link to the excellent build manual.  The manual contains a great deal of information about the Pino. It's worth a look if you are seriously interested in this plane.

Aerodynamics:
PCM developed a modern and fast airfoil for the Pino. The thickness is only between 6.16% and 7.58%. The aerodynamic design includes 5 different airfoils. So there is an optimum airfoil for every section of the wing. The creation of the airfoils was done with X-Foil, the wing aerodynamics with XFLR5.

An all moving tail was chosen for the elevator for a quick and easy installation and for performing abrupt aerobatic maneuvers. In addition, Pino has very strong airbrakes, which are especially helpful on the slope.

The rudder consists of a Rohacell full-core construction and 75g bi-axial Carboline outer skin. Linkage and levers for controlling the elevator are already integrated inside the rudder. The elevator is also made with a core of Rohacell and laid-up with 75g bi-axial Carboline. The upper side is painted and the underside is left clear carbon. The elevator can easily be removed for transport.

All control surfaces are pre-cut and have kevlar live hinges. All servo pockets and linkage tunnels are precut. Gap seal tape and carbon servo covers are included in the kit.  Pushrods are installed including the bell crank for the elevator. Cutouts for the fuselage servos have been made. See the instruction manual for a thorough understanding of what is included with this kit.

Works great, rugged, and worth the money!
Color: Black/Gray
Just purchased my second of this watch as a replacement. The first lasted about four years of abuse before the straps started to crumble. No battery or other issues. It had survived Afghanistan, numerous field exercises, mud, sweat, rain, wind, etc. and was well worth the $35 I spent on it. It is easy to adjust the time and has a handy 2nd time feature if you're between two time zones frequently or jut want to know the time back home. Everything else is what one would expect from the Ironman series. Lightweight, good backlight (indiglo), not obnoxiously large, rugged, good chrono/timers/alarms.

Good Watch
Color: Black/Gray
I have an old 30 lap Ironman. This one is larger than my previous one and has more features. It took me a little while to fully figure out how the new "occasion" feature works, but I can honestly say that I will probably never use that feature. This is a good watch, but the old one is easier to read at an angle. I did not measure the angle that the other segments become visible enough to interfere with viewing the time, but I do know that it is less than my old one. I have to twist my wrist a little more to view the time than I did with the old one. My old one is over 10 years old and still keeps excellent time. I replaced the strap and battery a couple times. The plastic part on top of it broke off when I dropped it at the airport about a year ago. Eventually the whole top fell off. I glued a plastic piece on to replace the "start/split" button. The wife decided that my repair was too ugly to wear in public. I still wear the old one around the house just to bother her! Hopefully this new one will last as long. I may have to get a Velcro strap for this one. The plastic one looks better, but the Velcro type is more comfortable.

Good watch that can take a beating
Color: Black/Gray
I have owned a Timex IronMan watch for almost 2 decades now and this will only be the 4th one I’ve bought. I wear it every day, and I rarely take it off except when I shower, but that is just because I want to wash my wrist. Between my time in the military, working on cars, swimming, and wildland firefighting I have never had one break on me. I’ve never even had a battery actually die. Every time I’ve replaced a watch is because the backlight eventually got so faint I couldn’t read the time in the dark. I have had the pin that holds the clasp on come off once, but that was when I had my hand jammed down in an engine trying to remove a part and the watch got caught because I didn’t take it off first. The only thing I am not crazy about is the size of this watch. Being a creature of habit, I normally get the smaller Ironman, but I thought I’d try something different and I guess it will just take some getting used to. Overall I am very pleased with this watch.

Good watch
Color: Black/Gray
I've had other Timex watches like this one and they have always been reliable and easy to use. I want a watch that has a large face and can be seen when I'm exercising or in low light. I use the timer feature often and it is great. I'm very pleased with this watch. I know it's a men's watch but I'd love to see more Timex watches for women with large faces, similar features and bolder colors.
