Highly prized and mined by humans for over 7,000 years the ancient peoples of the earth have long had a connection with this much prized semi-precious stone.  Amethyst is a violet variety of quartz often used in jewelry & metaphysical practice. The name comes from the Ancient Greek ἀ a- ("not") and μέθυστος méthystos ("intoxicated"), a reference to the belief that the stone protected its owner from drunkenness. I'm not fond of scented oils or lotions on my face and hands. This works very well as a lotion. It melts and absorbs into the skin without leaving any extra color or residue. There's a little bit of a oil sheen to it, but it doesn't stand out. It does not have the oil or grease feeling to it which is great. It's worked really well this winter. My hands and face are moisturized and looking great. I got this in December 2025 and it expires October 2028. I'll probably use it up before it expires.
