On Friday, August 28th, ten Vancouver Island wineries, cideries, breweries and distilleries will be paired with ten unique downtown businesses, transforming Parksville into a walkable collection of boutique tasting experiences.

As you stroll through the heart of downtown, you'll discover thoughtfully curated tastings, meet passionate producers, explore local shops and enjoy an evening designed to delight the senses.

The Wine Walk takes place Friday, August 28th, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with an exclusive VIP Experience beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Participating downtown businesses become intimate tasting venues where guests may sample wines, spirits, ciders and craft beers from some of British Columbia's most celebrated producers.

Designated Driver Experience

We believe every guest should enjoy the atmosphere of the evening.

Designated Driver ticket holders will receive:

Designated Drivers will receive a distinctive wristband and will not be issued tasting tokens.

Taste Your Way Through Downtown

Begin your evening at the McMillan Arts Centre, where you'll receive your tasting package, commemorative glass, event map, wristband and tasting tokens.

From there, you'll embark on a self-guided journey through Downtown Parksville, visiting ten unique tasting destinations while meeting winery representatives, brewers, distillers, cider makers and local business owners.

Each participating venue will feature a dedicated producer, creating an intimate and engaging tasting experience.

When and Where to Check-In

VIP guest check-in begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by an exclusive Sparkling Wine Reception and early access to the Wine Walk experience from 5:00 p.m.

Guest check-in for Wine Walk ticket holders begins at 5:30 p.m., with the tasting experience officially commencing at 6:00 p.m.

We invite you to arrive early and enjoy Downtown Parksville at your leisure. Browse the boutiques, stroll the waterfront or relax at one of the area's cafés before beginning your evening of exceptional wines, culinary delights and local discoveries.

Please bring valid government-issued photo identification. Age verification will take place at check-in, allowing you to enjoy all tasting locations without needing to present identification throughout the evening.

At check-in you will receive:

• Wristband
• Commemorative tasting glass
• Event map
• Ten tasting tokens

Please note that guests without wristbands will not be permitted to participate in tastings or enter the shops.

The Downtown Parksville Wine Walk will proceed rain or shine.

Event Guidelines

To ensure an enjoyable experience for all guests, please observe the following:

• Your tasting glass must be empty before leaving each venue.
• All attendees must be 19 years of age or older.
• Tasting tokens may be redeemed for samples at participating locations.
• Wine samples will be approximately 1 oz. per pour. Beer, cider, and spirit samples may vary.
• Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated.
• Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to another guest.

Tips for an Exceptional Evening

• Wear comfortable footwear suitable for walking.
• Dress appropriately for the weather.
• Enjoy a meal before attending.
• Plan your route with your group in advance.
• Bring valid identification.
• Stay hydrated throughout the evening.
• Please drink responsibly and arrange safe transportation if needed.
