The same upper as the Stockingfoot model, but fitted with a heavy-duty, neoprene lined PVC boot, with a studded felt sole for total grip in all conditions, whether in the river or on the bank. The award-winning Prestige ST range, have been completely re-designed. The new STX range incorporates all the best design features of the ST, but with many design improvements.

Material

Snowbee have retained the popular Soft-Touch (ST) material so liked by anglers. What sets this apart from other breathable wader materials is the outer layer, which has a 'peach-skin' finish. Not only does this look and feel superb, but the finish makes it totally flexible, rustle-free and silent Snowbee have incorporated this into a new, unique 3-layer material, which takes breathable wader technology onto a completely new level. This top quality breathable material is a blend of 24% nylon, 59% polyester and 17% polyurethane to provide strength and durability. The outer material has a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment, rated at L10/80 – meaning it retains 80% of its DWR performance, even after washing 10 times! The inner laminate utilises Snowbee highly reliable Vapour- Tec breathable membrane, for superior performance, providing a breathability of 4,000g/m2/24hrs and a hydrostatic water pressure resistance (waterproofness) of 15,000mm.

Design

The new STX range utilises Snowbee's well proven cutting style and extensive trials of the prototype waders have shown these to be the best fitting, most comfortable waders Snowbee have ever made. 

Over the years, Snowbee have learnt that the majority of breathable wader leaks are caused by puncture damage. Needle sharp gorse or thorns can cause pin-pricks in breathable material, invisible to the naked eye, but so frustrating when entering the water. To help avoid this, the new models feature a second layer of material where it is most needed – down the front of the legs, from above the knee to the sock or boot join and on the seat of the waders. This additional layer takes the overall thickness up to a class-leading 6-layers, but by utilising two separate layers, they still retain their high breathability – unlike 5-layer materials which have very limited breathability.

The twin front pockets are heat-welded onto the waders and fitted with top quality, waterproof YKK pocket zips, to provide fl y box, leader or accessory pockets, as waterproof as it’s possible to get. Behind these are generously-sized hand-warmer pockets for those cold spring and autumn days.

The 3-panel design ensures all the seams run around and not under the foot, for a more moulded fit and added comfort. The integral gravel guards have front lacing hooks and rubberised elastication around the bottom, to prevent them riding up when walking. This model offers the very best value for money of any breathable wader on the market.
