The Cisco CPAK Module is an innovative connectivity solution designed to maximize network performance for both enterprise environments and service providers. Grounded in advanced 100GBASE fiber technology, the CPAK module delivers high-density, scalable 100-Gbps connectivity that fits seamlessly into data-center cores, metro networks, and campus backbones. Built to meet the demanding requirements of modern networks, CPAK modules are engineered for reliability, advanced diagnostics, and easy integration with Cisco’s expansive portfolio of network devices. Whether you’re architecting a new data center or upgrading an aging campus spine, the Cisco CPAK Module offers a future‑ready path to higher bandwidth, lower latency, and streamlined management. The result is a solution that accelerates data throughput, simplifies operations, and enables your network to scale with confidence as your business needs evolve.

  • High-density 100-Gbps connectivity: Designed to deliver robust, scalable throughput for data-intensive workloads, the CPAK module enables efficient aggregation and interconnect between core routers, spine-leaf fabrics, and high-demand services. Its architecture supports dense port deployments without compromising performance or reliability.
  • Advanced 100GBASE fiber technology: Leveraging Cisco’s fiber innovations, CPAK provides resilient optical performance, improved reach, and superior signal integrity across fiber-optic links. This enables longer link distances, lower error rates, and consistent performance under load in enterprise data centers and service provider networks.
  • Enterprise and service-provider ready: Engineered for diverse environments—from campus data centers to carrier-grade backbones—the CPAK Module delivers consistent results in multi-vendor, multi-layer network architectures while maintaining compatibility with Cisco platforms and management stacks.
  • Plug‑and‑play and hot-swappable design: The CPAK Module is built for operational efficiency in dynamic data-center environments. Its plug-and-play deployment reduces downtime during upgrades, and hot-swappability (where supported by the chassis) minimizes service disruption during maintenance windows.
  • Observability and reliability: Integrated monitoring and diagnostics provide clear visibility into optical health, connection status, and performance metrics. This visibility supports proactive maintenance, rapid fault isolation, and enhanced overall network reliability.

How to install Cisco CPAK Module

  • Prepare the chassis: Confirm that the Cisco device’s chassis and line cards support CPAK modules and hot-swapping if required by your maintenance window. Verify power is stable and that the device firmware is up to date to ensure compatibility with the CPAK module.
  • Power down or use hot-swap procedures: If the chassis supports hot-swapping, you can remove and insert the module with minimal disruption. If not, shut down the device according to Cisco guidelines before proceeding with installation.
  • Remove the existing module (if upgrading): Gently release any locking mechanism, slide the current module out, and place it aside to avoid damage to connectors.
  • Install the CPAK Module: Align the module with the slot’s connector, slide it in firmly until it seats, and secure it with any latching mechanism provided by the chassis. Listen for the seating click and verify that the module is properly engaged.
  • Connect fiber cables and power on: Attach the optical fiber strands according to the SKU’s specifications (ensure correct fiber type, connector, and polarity). Power on the device if it was powered down, and monitor the link status during initialization to confirm a stable connection.
  • Verify operation and monitor health: Use Cisco management tools to verify the link up status, throughput, and error counters. Check optical diagnostics for any alert indicators and perform a basic throughput test to confirm performance targets are met.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is the Cisco CPAK Module? The Cisco CPAK Module is a high-density transceiver designed to deliver 100-Gbps fiber-based connectivity across Cisco networks. It is intended for use in data centers, enterprise backbones, and service-provider environments, providing scalable uplink and interconnect options with Cisco devices.
  • Which Cisco platforms support CPAK? CPAK modules are designed for compatibility with Cisco data-center and routing platforms that support CPAK-based transceivers. Always verify compatibility with your specific chassis, line cards, and firmware version in Cisco’s official product documentation.
  • Is hot-swapping supported? Hot-swapping is supported in many Cisco chassis that are designed for modular transceivers. Check your device’s hardware manual to confirm hot-swap capabilities and any required procedures for safe replacement without downtime.
  • What fiber types are used? CPAK modules come in variants that support different fiber types, including single-mode and multi-mode options, depending on the SKU. Select the variant that matches your network design and distance requirements.
  • How do I monitor the CPAK module health? Cisco provides built-in diagnostics and management interfaces that monitor link status, optical power, temperature, and error rates. Use Cisco Network Assistant, IOS-XE/IOS-XR tools, or Prime Infrastructure to centralize monitoring and alerting.
  • Can CPAK modules be upgraded as network needs grow? Yes. The high-density 100-Gbps architecture is designed to scale with evolving data-center demands. Very nice but -
Color: Black, Size: 64 oz
Got it today. Just put it to use and made some cold brew. Looks nice and sturdy and doesn’t leak. Has a great large capacity to make a lot of cold brew. Lid closure is great and seals nicely. Very easy to use and user friendly. The plastic material is very thick feeling so that tells me it will withstand quite a bit. I like it so far. My only issue is as soon as I opened the box and pulled the spoon out, it was broken. The bottom stand is completely broken and barely stands up. So that’s disappointing. Otherwise, seems very nice.

Reliable and Easy to Use Cold Brew Coffee Maker
Color: Black, Size: 40 oz, Color: Black, Size: 40 oz
This cold brew maker is easy to use and does the job well. I get smooth coffee every time without bitterness. The size is good and fits in my fridge without taking much space. The filter works well and keeps most of the grounds out of the coffee. Cleaning is simple and does not take much time. The build feels solid for daily use. I like that I can control how strong the coffee is by changing the water and coffee ratio. One thing to know is that you need coarse ground coffee for best results. (I use Bizzy coffee) Letting it steep longer makes the flavor better. It is not insulated, so you should keep it in the fridge while brewing.

Best cold brew brewer out there
Color: Black, Size: 40 oz
One of my favorite purchases in a long time. This coffee maker is just a perfect size and it can be put in the fridge in any direction, on its side, on its top, whatever. It does not leak and it's very easy to clean. Just a superior product all the way around.

Great cold brew maker!
So far this has been a big improvement from a different brand cold brew maker I had. It is simple and easy to used doesn’t leak. The coffee comes out tasting great! It has a smart design that works well. It’s a great deal for how well it works. It is big enough to last all week but not take up to much space in the fridge.

Air gets trapped in the filter so it won’t fully steep
Color: Black, Size: 40 oz
Filter doesn’t let air out. It’s weird about all these positive reviews bc I tried cold brewing tea two times overnight but the filter holes are so small that basically it traps a large air bubble inside with the tea leaves. The water was barely steeped. It was weird enough to the point where I thought there must be a clear film on the filter that I hadn’t removed. When I loosen the lid all do the air rushes out and it fills w water, but when you tighten the lid any air inside with your grounds/leaves is trapped and prevents steeping. I kept thinking it was me based on all of these positive reviews but I could not prevent the massive about of air from getting trapped in the filter. If they made the holes bigger (not too big to let grounds out but currently you could mistake it for plastic film) then it would’ve been perfect. Nice size and about what I’d drink in a day or so. Change the filter hole size to let air flow out and I’ll buy it back!
