The Shure GLXD4R+ is a single-channel digital wireless audio receiver compatible with the GLXD1+ bodypack and GLXD2+ handheld transmitters (available separately) and housed in a metal half-rack chassis with two removable rear-panel antennas. Rackmounting hardware is included, making this model ideal for installations in small venues, houses of worship, conference rooms, and event spaces. Shure's next-generation technology automatically scans both the 2.4 and 5.8 GHz frequency ranges to seek out the best possible digital transmission channel to ensure dependable performance for your presentations, performances, conferences, and events at a typical operating distance of up to 100' indoors and 65' outside.
The receiver features front-panel charging for the SB904 transmitter battery (available separately) and an easy-to-read display that shows pertinent information, including the remaining transmitter battery time in hours and minutes. The system transmits audio with a flat, 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and 120 dB of dynamic range, leaving the sound of your mic unaffected by the wireless components. The transmitter's input gain can be wirelessly adjusted right from the receiver's front panel to optimize the audio signal. The rear panel provides a balanced XLR output switchable between mic and line levels along with a balanced 1/4" Inst/Aux output.
Dual-Band Technology for Easy and Reliable Wireless Performance
- GLX-D+ Dual-Band Digital Wireless systems operate in both the 2.4 and 5.8 GHz frequency ranges, automatically scanning both to select the one that offers the higher number of clean channels.
- The previous GLX-D only worked in the 2.4 GHz range, which offers 83.5 MHz of bandwidth. By expanding into the 5.8 GHz range, the GLX-D+ provides an additional 125 MHz worth of potential open frequencies for available channels, helping to minimize dropouts and enhance reliability.
- Besides the additional spectrum, there are other benefits to in operating in the 5.8 GHz range. In general, there are fewer devices operating in this range, making the spectrum cleaner. The 2.4 GHz range is home for Bluetooth devices and other devices, including Wi-Fi routers and repeaters, security cameras, baby monitors, garage door openers, and more. Operating in this range means competing with these devices for the same space.
- The system offers true digital diversity, which means two antennas and two independent receiver modules work together to reduce RF signal dropouts.
- In addition, the GLX-D+ transmits on its own main frequency just like a traditional system, but it also transmits on 2 extra "backup frequencies” at the same time. If the system detects interference on the main frequency, it will switch to one of the backups automatically without the user even knowing.
Expandable to 11 Mic Channels
- GLX-D+ receivers typically allow you to run up to 4 mics simultaneously in the same space without using remote antennas and a frequency manager. Under ideal conditions, up to 8 systems can be used this way.
- This GLXDR+ half-rack receiver includes removable antennas, allowing you to mount the antennas on the front panel for improved reception (cables and hardware included) and expand the system to accommodate more microphone channels.
- If you're only using two or three receivers at once, consider adding the UA221DB-RSMA kit, which includes two passive antenna splitters to route the RF signals from a single pair of antennas to all the receivers. Using only two antennas for all the receivers helps to avoid intermodulation problems for better reception.
- To maximize signal reception and reliability, consider adding a pair of PA805DB-RSMA Dual-Band Passive Directional Antennas, which offer improved filtering of interference and deliver a 24 dB front-to-back rejection ratio of off-axis signals to improve reception by up to 8 dB.
- If you need four or more microphone channels, consider adding the GLXD+FMZ3/LC Frequency Manager, which allows up to 11 mics to operate simultaneously (16 under highly optimal conditions) making it ideal for installations with multiple wireless systems.

I Loved It

This was my first time reading a book by Elle Alexanda, and it definitely won’t be my last! I was absolutely captivated by the Lou/Ava love story. I found Lou’s vulnerability so endearing. It was an excellent read, and I wish it were available as an audiobook. The story was a slow burn, but it kept me hooked. The flirting and banter between Lou and Ava were so entertaining. I didn’t want the story to end! Well done, Elle!

Romance with a side of Thrill

4.25 stars!
I was immediately engrossed in this debut novel, with the thrilling beginning and obvious future romance between Lou and Ava. I thought the setting of the town was wonderful, full of small charm and supportive characters. The little nods towards the continuing threat to Ava’s life were good. The budding romance was great, too! I think the intimacy scenes were soft and perfect.
The main reason this didn’t reach 4.5 stars for me (thus would’ve rounded it to 5 instead of down to 4), is because of the POV switches during chapters. They’re a bit jumbled in; the reader is suddenly seeing or hearing things from Lou when it started with Ava, but then it quickly switches back to Ava. It’s not my favorite way for a story to be shared.
I also lost a little steam towards the middle-end, right before the big finale. I’m not sure if my other hobby distracted me or if the story hit a slow spot. It’s possible I was hoping for a little more excitement. This story had more romance than thrill.

I had this on my shelf for a while. lG reviews were great, the cover was pretty, and it sounded really interesting.
It was better than I expected! Love when that happens🥰
The story was great, the writing was good, and the characters were amazing! Ava and Lou's chemistry at first was a little charged. But as the story went and their relationship developed, it turned into something more tender and very intimate. Throw in the witness protection thing, and you have quite exciting romance. I will be reading this again!
