Her earlier career, heavily focused on the fashion industry, introduced Pascale to the idea of painting her memories and exploring the multitude of influences of the fashion world and how clothing has such a strong impact on how they make people feel.

This new collection is a combination of those influences with more focus on the celebration of confident female figures. Mainly inspired by strong female characters, the artist created “Dans La Penombre”, a bold statement piece in celebration of being happy in your own skin and to demonstrate the female strength and power.

In this empowering portrait, where the female form dominates the canvas, it’s with large brush strokes that Pascale is able to capture both the striking feeling of the female force, but also a soft romantic feel. As the painting is telling its own story, the contrasting dynamic range of colours have been used through an experimental style. Applying a new technique of using pastel colours to highlight the figures skin, whilst keeping the background minimal in textured neutral colours with reflections of emerald, the artist accentuated the contrast between background and foreground, being able to make the character pop to the forefront of the piece, pushing once again the boundaries of art and self-expression. The strength and power are portrayed through the striking pose and the bold energy of the female figure dominating the canvas with confidence.
