In 2013, Simon was given access to Fox Movies' prestigious and incredibly restricted Fox Archives, which included a rare collection of films, stills, test shots and outtakes. Here, he became enamoured with Marilyn's exquisite features, including her accentuated lips, trademark brows and almond-shaped eyes.
To create this artwork, Simon used a fine art process called silkscreen printing, which involves using a tightly-stretched mesh or screen to print paints or inks onto a surface. You can find out more here.
